Tamme & Michael Wedding, Sanger, Fresno, Central California

by bayphoto on Jun.02, 2010, under Wedding

Tamme & Michael got married in May. The wedding location is in Fresno area. It is in a beautiful farm in Sanger, central California. There is a nice corn field and lots of greens surrounding the area. It is a small and intimate wedding with about 50 guests. After the ceremony, I had some time working with Tamme and Michael alone in the surrounding area of Sanger. I enjoyed it a lot since the shooting environment was different from what I used to do before. The following are some of my favorite photos during the photography session.

Peng & Yanhui’s Wedding Ceremony I

by bayphoto on May.30, 2009, under Wedding

Holding hands

Peng & Yanhui’s wedding is very Chinese traditional.  The groom started preparing at groom’s home.

The following picture shows a tray of nuts on the bed at the groom’s home. The tray has dates (Zao), chestnus (Li) and sunflower seeds (Zi).

“ZaoLiZi” means “To have a baby soon” according to Chinese tradition.

Then the groom went to the bride’s place to welcome the bride to his home.

The following is a picture when the groom Peng took his car to the bride’s place.

It is not easy to get the bride back (typically, the groom has to meet several challenges from bride’s relatives) but our groom is very confident.

The groom is facing the first challenge now. The bride’s sister is blocking the door.

Our groom is fighting very hard to get in.

Finally, the groom got in. Huuh, that’s a tough one. He is sweating after the effort.

Finally, the groom can hug the beautiful bride.

The bride did not have the shoes on yet. It is the groom’s job to put the shoes on.

Then the groom could take the bride home.  Look at the balloons and colorful papers flying at the sky!
